Formby Club B Extend Lead

Formby Club B are looking favourites for the Formby Timber Champions Trophy after a thumping 5-1 defeat of Aughton Institute A left them six points clear at the top in their mission to become the first Formby based side to win the league title since Conservative Club B in 2003/04. The frame of the night saw Andy Jones gaining a point for Aughton with a 49 break in his defeat of Graham Clark who himself had a 40. Mark Evans topped the breaks on the night with a fine 55 as he and most of the Formby side won fairly comfortably. Olympic move back to second following a 4-2 defeat of Formby Club A. Luke Marshall (32) narrowly lost on the clours against unbeaten Paul Williams (42) but Richard Bell (36) and Alan Swift both won well for Formby, Tony Hanaford (36) was amongst the breaks for Olympic. Ince secured the most unlikely result of the night winning 4-2 at Our Ladys A in a fiercely fought contest where Shaun Catterall, Mike Radcliffe, Rick Radciffe and Alan Morris were the heroes. Aintree Cons maintained their push for fourth with a whitewash at Northern whilst Our Ladys B cane from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Aughton Institute B.

Olympic Bowling Club Dress Code

Smart jeans and trainers are now allowed to be worn but they still have the minimum requirement of a collared shirt or t-shirt. Can I ask everyone that we respect the club rules. Thank you.
