March Meeting

The March meeting will take place on Monday 12th March at Our Ladys CMS Club, commencing 7.45pm. All League trophies should be returned at this meeting.

Aughton A Thrive in Olympic Challenge

Aughton Institute A had an excellent night at Olympic beating them 4-2 in the Joe Rigby Handicap League and 5-1 in the Formby Timber Champions Trophy to maintain their interest in both competitions. Aughton head the handicap League by four points with two to play but Our Ladys A and Aintree Cons both have games in hand. Paul Williams recorded the highest break of the night with a 62 but he was Olympics only winner in the League match and with leaders Formby Club B making it 16 wins out of 16 it looks increasingly difficult for Aughton to catch them. Luke Palethorpe recorded a 48 in Formby B's whitewash of Ince. Aughton Institute B continued their recent improvement drawing with Aintree Cons and beating Northern 6-0 where the scoreline didn't reflect a very well contested match with most of the frames decided on the last few colours. Martin Cahill had a good win against Alan Houghton to help Formby Club A win 4-2 at Our Ladys B whilst Our Ladys A are looking good for fourth spot after beating their main rivals Aintree Cons 4-2.

Olympic Bowling Club Dress Code

Smart jeans and trainers are now allowed to be worn but they still have the minimum requirement of a collared shirt or t-shirt. Can I ask everyone that we respect the club rules. Thank you.
